While Eichholtz products take center stage, the space also features antiques, original art, and items from similar brands.

Ryan Saghian, an interior designer, has been an admirer of the Dutch luxury brand Eichholtz for years. He introduced Eichholtz California to the West Coast, curating a selection of approximately 400 products from the brand’s extensive collection.

Following the launch of the flagship store in LA last year, Saghian is expanding Eichholtz California with new retail showrooms across the state. The Orange County location opened in December, and a Palm Desert showroom is set to debut this December.

The showroom’s collection is dynamic, with interiors designed to reflect this evolving aesthetic. While Eichholtz products take center stage, the space also features antiques, original art, and items from similar brands.

Ryan Saghian notes, “I want there to be tension—something glamorous next to something raw, something contemporary next to something that feels collected.”

As creative director, Saghian partnered with Anthony Checetto, a former antiques dealer and head of retail operations, to establish the West Coast venture. They began with a 6,000-square-foot store in West Hollywood. Later, they joined forces with retail executives and entrepreneurs Michael Webster and James Lunsford to open a nearly 8,500-square-foot space in Costa Mesa, combining their expertise to shape Eichholtz California’s vision.

Saghian explains, “The idea was never to open three versions of the same store; it was to build a California network where each location responds to its market.”

The Palm Desert showroom, located in the design district, will offer a distinct experience compared to the previous locations. The team continually updates the floor as items are sold and new pieces arrive.

Saghian says, “That’s part of what makes coming back exciting.”

Each location is tailored to its specific design community, starting with a curated selection of about 4,000 Eichholtz products, refined to 400 items through a California-inspired lens, showcasing the brand’s versatility across the state.
