YODEZEEN has finished a private duplex in Dubai that merges bold architectural forms with refined, contemporary comforts, moving past fleeting design trends to craft an interior that feels both enduring and deeply personal.
A sculptural staircase as the emotional core
The heart of the residence is a double-height living area, where a bespoke staircase—crafted from a sophisticated combination of stone and wood, functions as both a structural pivot and a visual statement. Its flowing curves disrupt the precision of the surrounding geometry, serving as a focal point that guides movement while reinforcing the home’s character. Suspended above it, a series of Henge pendant lights dangle in a cascading formation, their shifting reflections altering the space’s mood with the hours. Together, the staircase and lighting establish a seamless dialogue between the two levels, bringing rhythm, lightness, and sculptural depth into the residence.
The staircase’s materials, solid stone for durability, warm wood veneers for texture, set the tone for the entire project. Plaster walls with subtle texture and padded wall panels soften angular edges, while a deliberate mix of finishes prevents monotony. Every surface is chosen to reinforce a serene, purposeful atmosphere, where craftsmanship feels organic rather than staged.
Light, openness, and a view of Dubai’s skyline
Glass walls stretch from floor to ceiling, bathing the interior in daylight and aligning it with Dubai’s skyline. The private office, positioned to capture the city’s panorama, embodies this connection, dissolving boundaries between indoors and outdoors. Even in enclosed areas, the interplay of light and varied textures keeps the spaces feeling open, defying the typical heaviness of sculptural design.

The kitchen features a fully custom island created by YODEZEEN, paired with furniture from brands including Minotti, B&B Italia, Poltrona Frau, Giorgetti, Rimadesio, Poliform, and Molteni & C. Each selection avoids excess, instead supporting the home’s layered, atmospheric quality.
This project stands apart not just through individual design moves but through their practical harmony. In a city where luxury often equates to excess, YODEZEEN’s focus on balance, proportion, natural light, and honest materials, produces a home that feels both polished and lived in. The sculptural details do not dominate; they enrich, much like a carefully placed artwork that enhances a room without overpowering it. The result is understated assurance: a space that does not demand attention but invites lingering.
Work on Noor Residence began with spatial studies in November 2023, transitioned to full construction in February 2024, and concluded in 2025. The completed project represents YODEZEEN’s shift toward a more deliberate, understated vision of luxury, one where control and artistry shape the experience.
